I think a lot of people get hung up on comic book movies being "too cheesy" or "too on-the-nose," but honestly, I think this movie pulls it off. Yeah, the emotional beats—especially involving Bob—are blatant, but they work. Not everything has to be subtle or gritty to land. This movie owns its comic book tone and delivers solid character moments, even if you can see everything coming. But the execution? Really strong. It’s got heart, it’s got fun, and I think it’s okay to let a superhero movie just be a superhero movie sometimes.
